A cover up is clothing made of sheer fabric and/or with loose cuts exposing some part of the bikini while being worn over it. The cover up can be a good way to convince women who are not that confident in wearing bikinis to buy bikinis because they will not be revealing all by simply wearing it. This gives them option of not wearing one piece swimsuit and look boring in them.

The most popular cover ups are the flip skirts, pants, robe, tunics and sarongs.
